Woolacombe

Woolacombe is a seaside resort on the coast of North Devon, England, which lies at the mouth of a valley. The beach is 2.5 miles long, sandy and gently sloping. The beach has Blue Flag and Premier Seaside Beach awards for its cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Lynton Railway

Lynton & Barnstaple Railway

"The railway was opened in 1898 and closed in 1935.  It was built to a gauge of 1ft 11½in (600mm), and ran for 19 miles between Lynton and Barnstaple.  It is now owned by a Charitable Trust and is run "not for profit", with most of the key roles undertaken by volunteers.  So far one mile of track has been reopened."
